And this is why copywriters are taught to point out that whatever problems the reader might be struggling with are due to no fault of his own.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOverweight? It ain\u2019t YOUR fault! Your thyroid is a lazy bastard!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I\u2019ve seen hundreds of examples like this over the years. But I\u2019m excited to report that I recently uncovered the very best “it ain\u2019t your fault” I’ve ever seen, which was featured prominently in some woman\u2019s ad for a past life regression CD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Here\u2019s a snippet\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do you have challenges with money?
Maybe you took vows of poverty in a past incarnation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Do you have trouble finding love?
You could have been a monk in a past life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Perhaps its source is in one of your past embodiments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Do you have a relationship that is always challenging?
Perhaps this comes from your far past.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Do you struggle with weight?
Maybe you starved to death in a past life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt ain\u2019t your thyroid, stupid! You starved to death thousands of years ago!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
My ego is quite pleased to learn that none of my current life issues have anything to do with the actions I took (or didn\u2019t take) in this lifetime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But this realization led to another realization\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I now understand that I\u2019ve been making a huge marketing mistake by not bs\u2019ing my readers and serving up the straight up truth of the matter, which is, and always has been:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If your life sucks, then it\u2019s most likely your fault.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
People hate hearing that, but it\u2019s incredibly empowering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When you blame your circumstances on things outside of your control and create an excuse for inaction, then you give away all your power.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But when you take responsibility for EVERYTHING in your life, then you maintain the power to impose your will on anything standing in the way of what you want.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The faster you accept this, the faster you can decide to start taking action and doing what\u2019s necessary to go back in time and convince your past self to leave the monastery and go on a quest to impregnate young virgins across all 7 kingdoms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The nightmare year of 2020 is already over. 2021 will go by just as fast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
How much action are you willing to take this year so your life ends up looking substantially different 12 months from now?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
