An article popped up last week about a team of German researchers who figured out how to reliably implant false memories in study subjects using conversational persuasion methods.
What’s new about this is they recently learned how to REMOVE the false memories, afterwards. But they’ve known how to easily implant them for a while now.
Poorly trained therapists do this accidentally, as do poorly trained hypnotists.
(This is one reason to avoid asking leading questions during regression work, such as: “And where did Uncle Bob touch you next?”)
It’s also known that detectives sometimes implant false memories while interrogating a suspect.
I’m not saying they do it on purpose, but even though they’re well aware that their procedures lead to many wrongful convictions, they still use them with impunity.
What’s the secret? Repetition.
They’ll have the person imagine a fictitious scenario over and over again, sometimes over the course of multiple days. They might also start with a real memory and begin suggesting additional details during each run through.
This process often leads the subject to believe that the suggested details actually happened.
On a side note, we modify our memories slightly each time we access them. As the years go by, more changes get introduced until our recollection of an event looks dramatically different than what actually happened.
Some memory researchers say that the factuality of each of our memories ranges from “slightly off” to “total nonsense.”
This calls into question the accuracy of verbal testimonial, especially when a witness is asked to give a statement about what happened at a party decades earlier.
The point of all this? Well, first off, never talk to the police, even if (and ESPECIALLY if) you’re completely innocent.
The other takeaway is that a similar process happens during our Mindvana sessions – specifically during the roleplays, where we have our subject imagine dates together that sometimes lead to very bad activities taking place in seedy bathroom stalls.
And while it’s unlikely for your subjects to believe these narrations actually happened, they’re still experiencing an EMOTIONAL response, since the subconscious has a tough time differentiating between what’s real and what’s imagined.
Yes, believe it or not, even the seemingly silly aspects of the Mindvana Method are rooted in legit persuasion tech.
And I bet you also didn’t know that Supreme Leader Fauci is not only a fellow Mindvana member, but he’s been imploring you to “trust the science” of Mindvana so you can go lock down some thotties.
Ok, that was a little too much. I shouldn’t be making disparaging comments about our overlords.
But if you’re curious as to why they’re all huge fans of my work, you can see what the fuss is about right here:
